Established in 1988, SCTR is the first modernized large state-owned enterprise of its kind in China to specialize in the production of a complete series of high performance radial tires and one of the largest enterprises in China who produce and export radial tires. It has won “One of The Top 100 China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Enterprises” and “One of The Top 100 of Guangdong Provincial Enterprises” .Now, it owns two production bases located in Panyu district and Conghua district respectively.
SCTR offers a productivity of approximately 8 million tires a year( including 1.3 million full-steel radial tires ).The brand name of its products are Wanli and Milever. The speed lever of the passenger car tires produced by SCTR range from V、Z 、W to Y ; half-steel tires series range from 80 to 25 and there are 10 series that is to say more than 600 sizes and patterns of full-steel tires (including the tube and tubeless ones).The products of SCTR are suitable for a variety of vehicles, and they are light truck、 heavy truck and bus such as BENZ、 BMW、 Toyoto、 Honda、 GE、Ford、 Volkswagen 、Audi 、Nissan and Red Flag and so on. SCTR is a manufacturer with the most complete specifications and patterns of radial tires in China.
Under the leading of the board of directors, The SCTR people have changed the destiny and the history of a large enterprise which was at the edge of bankruptcy and have created a miracle in the history of Chinese tire industry with their remarkable management capability and sustained effort. This leadership has increased tire production of SCTR from 1.07 million tires in 1997 to 8 million tires in 2007; during the same time , earning promoted from 290 million Yuan (RMB) in 1997 to 3000 million Yuan (RMB) in 2007. It has retained a growth rate of over 20% for 10 consecutive years. The comprehensive strength of SCTR is now taking the lead in Chininese tire industry.
Its “WANLI” full-steel radial tire was granted as China top brand commodity by State Quality Examine Bureau and it was listed in “The Key Export Famous Brand Commodity Supported And Developed by State”by Business Affair Ministry of PRC. And Wanli tires were exported to 110 countries and regions including western Europe and northern America.

SCTR made higher demands of meeting national standard and international standard in internal product quality control standard and established rigorous scientific quality control system to ensure that every performance of the product can satisfy the customers.
SCTR obtained many quality system approvals including ISO 9001 certificate、VDA6.1 certificate of Germany Automobile Industry Assotiation、ISO14000 quality system certificate(the first of the China tire industry)、ISO/TS16949 and 2002 system(the first of the China tire industry).And it also obtained many state quality approvals including DOT approved by America、ECE approved by European Union、ADR approved by Australia and SASO approved by Middle East.
The production technology of SCTR was introduced from Firestone in America. SCTR has grasped the high efficient technology in modern tire production by the adoption、mastering and innovation of the introduced technology in nearly 20 years and created its own unique Wanli technology system in natinal tire industry. At present ,SCTR has become the state enterprise technology center、state lab、high-new technology enterprise of Guangdong province and high-new technology enterprise of Guangzhou municipality. On the technology of the high performance radial tires of passenger cars、the snow tires and the run-flat tires, SCTR has created its own intellectual property rights system and has filled in more than 20 gaps in the fields of science and technology in China. The research and development ability reached the advanced international level.
In July of 2005, SCTR developed the 24 inch high performance SUV tires(the 6th manufacturer in the world)
In April of 2007, SCTR developed the 26 inch ultra-high performance SUV tires(the 7th manufacturer in the world)
In May of 2007, SCTR developed the run-flat tires (the 10th manufacturer in the world)
In order to meet the technical requirements of Firestone, the main high cientific and technological automatic production 、development and testing equipments of SCTR were introduced from many developed countries such as Germany、 England 、America 、Japan and Italy. And it has cooperated with some advanced equipment manufacturers in China to establish its superior modernized automatic equipment system which guaranteed the production of the high quality products.

The new production base -----Guangzhou Wanli Tire and Rubber Co.ltd invested and constructed by SCTR covers land area of 1200 mu . With the completion of Phase One for annual 2 million sets, we will start the Phase Two for annual 5million sets. It is estimated that it will take us 5 years to complete the design capacity. By that time, the annual production value of the two production bases will reach 10 billion CNY, and the annual capacity will exceed 20 million sets.
